SC-CARES is a WONDERFUL place that does a great service to animals of all species. Cindy and Skip are amazing people who give everything they have to the animals.

SC-CARES is a wonderful nonprofit that helps all kinds of creatures big and small. They have parrots (yes like Jimmy Buffet ones) to horse, wolves, snakes and tortoises. They rescue these animals from situations, some unbearable to even think of, and give them a forever home. It's a place unlike any other. Each animal has it's story and all of them are precious. I highly recommend paying them a visit or if you live in the area, they are always looking for volunteers and help! It's free to visit, but they survive on donations.
SC-CARES is one of the best sanctuaries I have ever seen. The people there care so much that the "CARES" in the name symbolizes them. I would recommend this organization as a charitable tax exempt donation site. They need money desperately as one of the owners & primary workers has been diagnosed with cancer. You can arrange a visit and see their work up close and personal. Pet Dennis the deer or Jimmy the pot belly pig. Check out Norman and Mayweather the cows who are in love with each other but must be separated because Mayweather is so much bigger than Norman because of his injury as a calf. They are in pens side by side so they can see each other and lay beside each other. There are so many stories about the wonderful animals that this group has rescued.
